The Rio Grande Down Syndrome Network Celebrates acceptance and inclusion at the 2017 Buddy Walk
Albuquerque, NM — Sept. 2017 — The Rio Grande Down Syndrome Network (RGDSN) will be holding their Annual Buddy Walk® on Saturday September 23, 2017 at the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum from 10am to 1pm. Buddy Walk is a family friendly event that not only promotes acceptance and inclusion but is the largest fundraising event for RGDSN. Families can expect a short walk around the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum as well as numerous fun activities for the kids.
“The motto of the walk is ‘Be inspired, walk with us!’ Buddy Walk is an amazing opportunity to come and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome while helping to raise money for programs and services for families in our community,” said Donyelle Kesler Lucero, RGDSN Buddy Walk Chair.
Activities include a Car Show presented by Mercedes Benz of Albuquerque and the Roadrunner Region Porsche Club of America, children and adult community performers, the UNM Cheerleaders, food trucks and much more.
