AR-SA'>The 8th Annual New
Mexico Dulcimer Festival is taking place November 3-4, 2017, in
Albuquerque, NM. Event features 46
workshops focusing
on mountain and hammered dulcimers, but also Celtic harp, bowed psaltery, banjo,
guitar, percussion, penny whistle, harmonica, ukulele and cloggingmso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-ansi-language:
EN-US;mso-fareast-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA'> offered by local
musicians and nationally recognized artists from Colorado, North Carolina,
Rhode Island, and Virginia. Absolute beginner dulcimer workshops are offered with instrument
rentals available, and loaner instruments provided for some of the other
workshops. The festival includes jams, open mic, on-site lunches, on-site
music/instrument vendor, and public concerts (7pm each night, $15 at the door,
children 12 and under free). Concert
performers will include 2 national dulcimer champions, a national fiddle
champion, and an Indie award winning band (aka folk music grammy). Musicians
have performed at countless festivals across the US, and across the globe. Festival
