Baracutanga is a New Mexico-based, seven-piece band representing four different countries (Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, and the USA) that prides itself on arranging traditional South American rhythms in new and interesting ways. This kind of experimentation, blending ancestral traditions with a modern sensibility, yields an exciting and distinct Latin flavor all its own. Lyrically and musically, Baracutanga builds bridges between the south and the north. With their affinity and respect for native rhythms from the lands of their ancestors, the group finds common ground in creating songs which cross linguistic and cultural barriers.

for middle & high school students from Rio Rancho, Albuquerque and all surrounding areas. Directed by the multi-talented Aaron Howe, this small but powerful chorus will delight you with their rich harmonies and full sound.

Washington Saxophone Quartet returns to Corrales! Now in its 42nd season, WSaxQ is the most widely heard saxophone quartet in the United States. Their Music in Corrales concert features music from their newest CD Bach and Before, including some Renaissance surprises from the 20th century, as well as a 100th Anniversary Tribute to Leonard Bernstein!  WSaxQ will also perform music for the upcoming Christmas season with selections from their Tis the Season CD.

In partnership with Music in Corrales, the Santa Fe Opera cheer returns to the Historic Old San Ysidro Church again this year to bring joy to you and your family. Admission is FREE and all are welcome. Open seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 6:30pm, a half hour before the performance. Just one hour long, the concert is a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy beautiful music during the busy holiday season.
