She is dedicated to providing entertaining and informative programs including walking tours, lectures and meditation programs. She has worked for the state museum systems and participated in archaeological digs and field work. Synopsis: There are many questions surrounding the events of 1680 when the Pueblos banded together to throw out the Spanish. Was Popé from Ohkay Owingeh (known today as San Juan Pueblo) the leader of the Revolt? Were there other leaders? Dr. Beninato will examine the documents within a cooperative model of Pueblo leadership so we can appreciate this event and its enormous consequences on the cultural landscape of New Mexico.
