Engage The Dog Brain: Using the best tool to change behavior
Join us for a weekend of fun and learning about dogs. Christopher and Brittaney Brauer of K9 Guidance for Inclusion out of Tuscon Arizona will be putting on an awesome workshop geared towards using a dogs most powerful tool: their brains. By creating a thinking dog and allowing the dog to make choices, we can more easily influence the outcomes of our dog's behavior when they are of their own free will. This means less management of the owner/handler/trainer, more freedom to enjoy life together and the dog u ltimately becomes happier.
Obedience is an excellent part of the training process, but should not be the
go to for the resolution of behavior issues. Aligning the agendas between yourself and the dogs you are training should be the ultimate goal for any rehab program. Throughout this seminar, you will learn the delicate balance of behavior work and training reliability in obedience, you will learn how to use discovery behavior to create an eager and motivated dog using remote collars to maximize your training potential and using multiple life rewards to challenge and encourage each dog, plus so much more.
